Discussions around climate change and sustainability have intensified over the last year. The planet is facing a climate catastrophe – unless there is immediate action. According to Bonnie Smith, General Manager at FCM, this shift will impact leisure and business travel alike, with travel management companies (TMCs), travel managers and bookers playing an increasingly important role in responsible travel and the implementation of real, measurable solutions.
Bonnie Smith, GM FCM South Africa, explains “As more destinations open up, we are seeing a want and a need to get back to travelling. Getting around the African continent and to the Middle East is particularly important for our customers, as they want to check in on their regional offices in person,” she says.
