Payouts for FCM Travel Solutions BEE Staff
At least 17 black female employees of FCM Travel Solutions have received their first dividends this month as part of the Employee Share Scheme. The dividend comes as the corporate travel solutions provider is proud to announce that it has achieved a Level 2 BEE rating.
“Following a very successful year for FCM, we were able to distribute R310,000 among 17 employees who have worked for the company for at least three years and are part of the Employee Share Scheme. At the same time, the company is also pleased to announce that we have achieved a Level 2 BEE rating,” explains Euan McNeil, FCM Travel Solutions South Africa GM.
The Employee Share Scheme owns 30% of FCM, giving customers access to travel managers that have a vested interest in the success of their travel programmes and FCM Travel Solutions. “Our travel managers are accountable, passionate and committed to their work.”
The scheme is a key part of FCM's Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment strategy that demonstrates the travel management company’s commitment to being socially responsible and a transformation leader within the South African travel industry. This scheme furthermore plays a pivotal role in ensuring the retention of key employees within the company.
“In addition to helping FCM secure a Level 2 BEE rating, we are proud to have a BEE strategy that is delivering sustainable and measurable results for our customers, employees and the communities we support. By 2022, we expect to have over 50 senior longevity employees participating in the scheme.
“BEE and transformation go hand in hand with our founding principles of fairness, egalitarianism and unity. As our brand grows, members of this scheme will derive direct benefits, which in turn will translate into benefits for our customers,” concludes McNeil.
