Australian Visas Go Online

From July 1, Australia’s Department of Home Affairs will introduce online lodgment for transit visas, partner and prospective marriage visas, and student visas.

The Department has warned that there may also be additional changes to the information requirements for transit visas.

Applications for ‘other family visas’ must still be lodged directly at, or mailed to, the Child and Other Family Processing Centre in Perth.

From July 3, all clients submitting an Australian visa application or providing biometrics at any TLS contact office will be required to book an appointment, which can be done on the TLS contact website, or by phoning the call centre.

Online applications and paper applications will still be accepted for normal travel and business visas.
