How did you get into the tech world, and what motivated you to stay?
I had been working in the tourism industry for many years and was a stakeholder in various booking platform development projects. Since I was very interested in the field and felt comfortable working with the tech team, I was offered the opportunity to transition into a Product Owner role.
Technology has always fascinated me for its ability to transform industries and improve people's lives, so when the opportunity arose, I didn’t hesitate. What motivates me to stay is the dynamic nature of the field and the constant innovation, along with the ability to make a positive impact.
What has been the most rewarding aspect of leading projects in a tech environment?
The most rewarding part is seeing how these projects impact users and how ideas materialize into solutions for emerging challenges. Improving efficiency and productivity for other teams is incredibly satisfying. Additionally, working with agile teams and witnessing how each member contributes their expertise to achieve a shared goal is truly motivating.
If you could give one piece of advice to other women looking to enter this industry, what would it be?
My advice would be to take the leap without hesitation. The tech industry has space for all kinds of profiles, and although it has traditionally been male-dominated, more and more women are becoming part of it. If you have interest and confidence, this sector offers continuous development and growth opportunities.
