Inspirational FCM women recognized for excellence

Congratulations to FCM Travel Solutions', Sue McEvoy, Director of Sales - Asia Pacific and Melissa Elf – General Manager Australia for being shortlisted in the 2018 Australian Women in Travel Awards. These annual awards recognize inspirational women in the industry who are committed to leading, innovating and mentoring the next generation of women.

Shortlisted for two categories including the Corporate Award and Salesperson of the Year Award, Sue consistently sets and exceeds ambitious sales targets – and she has been one of FCM’s top salespeople globally for six consecutive years. This success has been built on Sue’s commitment to form trusted, long-term relationships with all her clients, based on educating them and delivering a superior solution to their travel program. Sue explains that listening is the key quality which she draws on in her dealings with clients, adding “I never make it about us, but rather what can we bring to the table to better their program and take it to the next level”.

For Melissa, being shortlisted for the Mentor of the Year award is an honour which reflects her passion for helping other women overcome both personal and professional obstacles to achieve personal growth and career progression. Melissa has been a vocal advocate for a number of initiatives within the organisation including FCM Balance, which champions flexible work arrangements and the WomenWISE Program. “The energy created when women help other women is so powerful - it has changed my life and for me it’s now time to pay it forward,” said Melissa.

It’s great to see Sue and Melissa’s exceptional professionalism being recognized by peers within the travel industry and the whole of FCM Travel Solutions will be behind them when the awards are announced in Sydney on 21 June.
