Sustainability vs. Traveler Wellness vs. Company Cost
Sustainable travel has become a top priority in recent years, as companies commit to reaching net-zero targets, airlines look to offset carbon emissions with more sustainable aviation fuel, and travelers seek more environmentally friendly transportation options.
According to a recent study by travel company Virtuoso, 82% of participants said the pandemic has made them want to travel more responsibly in the future, while 72% said travel should support local communities and economies, preserve destinations’ cultural heritage and protect the planet. When these people are traveling for work, it affects travel management too.
But when it comes to business travel, you can’t talk about sustainability without talking about traveler wellness and how it’s going to affect a company’s bottom line.
