ACiQ in action: Cost optimization

I’ve had contracts in place with my preferred airline for decades and I haven’t needed to renegotiate because the contracts have consistently saved me 11%. But out of nowhere, the airline changed their contract terms and completely erased my savings in their hubs. My travel program can’t take that kind of hit! Luckily, I logged into ACiQ to see what other airlines travelers could fly with to offset this cost, down to route, region, and city-pairs. Now, I can calm our stakeholders who are concerned about costs, and bring extra information to the negotiating table with the airline.

ACiQ in action: Traveler wellness

I manage a huge pharmaceutical company’s travel program, and our travel policy is a key part of our employee retention plan. We use it as a “carrot” in our hiring process. Recently though, we’ve received feedback from our international travelers that they are burning out and need some extra support while they’re on the road and in the air. I wasn’t sure how much I could do within our budget, so I hopped into ACiQ to do some digging. I soon realized I could expand our travel policy to allow business class fares for trans-Atlantic flights with one of our preferred airlines. Better yet, our contract was almost up, so I contacted our consultant to review the ACiQ data and figure out how to work this into our next negotiation with the airline.

ACiQ in action: Futureproofing

I just completed a fair market share analysis with my consultant, and we were able to identify specific airlines that would no longer be servicing our key routes and changing their schedules six months in advance. These changes will critically impact our airline mix and our contract terms, so it was a lifesaver to access this information so early. Usually, you’ll only see this information months after the changes have been officially made. But ACiQ gave me a window into the future, and it’s been a priceless investment in my opinion.
