Aude Kremer's Journey

Celebrating Success and Leadership in Tech

We are proud to introduce Aude Kremer, our esteemed Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for the EMEA region. With over five years of invaluable experience at FCM Travel, Aude has been a driving force behind our company's technological advancements and success.

question 1

How Do you see technology shaping the future of the travel industry?

Personalization is crucial both from the perspective of travelers and suppliers. Both have a lot to gain.

Technological advancements have the potential to empower travelers and agents by swiftly retrieving numerous options from various content sources, all within a matter of seconds. These options can be automatically personalized, taking into consideration factors such as preferences, comfort, ancillaries, prices, sustainability, preferred partners, policy, NDC vs GDS, and more. This level of personalization enables Travel Management Companies (TMCs) to offer a superior, tailored service to their travelers, whether through seamless online platforms or assistance from travel agents.

Technology serves as a tool for all suppliers to distribute their products in all shape and forms, following the lead of low-cost carriers and legacy airlines that have now embraced NDC. It is highly likely that other types of suppliers will also adopt similar distribution systems in the future, pushing merchandising and revenue to its maximum.

Question 2

What role do you envision playing in driving innovation and growth within our company?

My responsibility is to spearhead the digital transformation efforts for the EMEA region, in line with the global vision of the company. Simultaneously, I actively participate in discussions to shape the company's ongoing transformation initiatives.

As a manager, one of my primary objectives is to support and motivate the team, enabling them to reach their full potential. I encourage exploration and utilisation of newly released technologies, all while ensuring that the team remains focused on delivering the FCM's overarching vision.

Question 3

In your opinion, what are some key factors that can encourage more women to pursue careers in tech?

In recent years, there has been an increase in diversity within product management, but technical roles are still lagging behind in this regard. The transformation needs to begin at the education level, where efforts should be made to create an impact during high school by presenting viable options and legitimizing the choice of pursuing a technical career before students select their postgraduate programs.

Equally important is the need for a greater representation of female tech role models across various media platforms that are consumed by younger generations. It is crucial to showcase the presence and accomplishments of women in technology to inspire and encourage young individuals.

In today's context, many companies are actively seeking to include more women in their technical teams to achieve a better balance and diversity. We are ourselves looking!

Question 4

How can we create a more inclusive and diverse environment in FCM?

It should be a deep-rooted belief permeating every level of the company. I firmly believe that a diverse environment is an invaluable asset and a catalyst for the growth and success of both the company and the individuals and teams within it. This principle must be an integral part of the company's essence and core values, akin to FCTG's commitment to egalitarianism.
