International Day of the Girl
“Events such as It’s Now Girl are so important for people to learn about the critical issues affecting our communities and our young people. They provide an important forum and source of information for those that want to make a difference,” Billie Murphy, General Manager, SolarBuddy
There are more than 1 billion girls in the world, yet they are the most marginalised group on the planet.
They are the most invisible, the most unheard, abused, controlled, and deliberately oppressed, even in a progressive country like Australia.
Research shows that investing in girls’ education transforms communities, countries, and the entire world. Girls who receive an education earn higher incomes, participate in the decisions that most affect them, and build better futures for themselves and their families. Girls’ education strengthens economies and reduces inequality.
Each year, we partner with local and global organisations, NFPs, advocates and communities to promote, educate and raise awareness about this important day. Our events are entertaining and insightful.
We’re on a journey to help girls break boundaries and challenge gender stereotypes that limit them from achieving their greatest potential. Partner with us for International Day of the Girl and you’ll encourage girls to pursue their dreams, uplift their self-esteem and celebrate all their talents.
