Our most recent milestone is a testament to this. FCM Meetings & Events Ideas Exchange (IDEX) 4.0, hosted at the idyllic InterContinental Hayman Island Resort, proved to be a triumph – the result of cohesive collaboration among like-minded partners.
Collaboration breeds innovation
At FCM M&E, we believe the power of partnerships is the driving force behind memorable, impactful gatherings, and our bespoke wellness event, IDEX 4.0, themed 'Making Waves', is a perfect example.
Seamlessly blending professional growth with personal well-being, IDEX 4.0, hosted at the enchanting InterContinental Hayman Island Resort in September 2023, broke the mold of traditional corporate events.
Over the three-day experience, FCM M&E leaders and hosts of the event Simone Seiler and Katie Fraser navigated insightful industry talks, complemented by wellness and meditation sessions.

Together with the team at the InterContinental Hayman Island Resort, we curated an atmosphere where connections flourished organically. Working hand-in-hand with the InterContinental Hayman Island Resort, the FCM M&E team orchestrated a bespoke experience for guests. From curated activities to networking opportunities, the event unfolded as a harmonious blend of expertise and innovation.
"We set out to create an environment where networking evolved into genuine connections, because we believe the power of partnerships lies in the ability to craft experiences that resonate with guests,” Simone said.
“Our team understands that the journey from concept to execution is enriched by partnerships and IDEX 4.0 is a testament to this. The event was a collaborative experience that blended our vision with the unique offerings of the resort.”
Partnering a theme with an environment
Set against the backdrop of one of Australia's stunning landscapes, IDEX 4.0 took advantage of its surroundings. A sunrise hike and marine sandflats walk led by the Great Barrier Reef Foundation brought guests closer to nature.
While Simone and Katie spearheaded insightful and open conversations with the small groups of guests who lent themselves to each other and to the experience.
“We were able to curate a program that fit well for the environment, from the sandflats walk and tropical dinner to the meditation sessions with Vibrate Your Mind and workshops with mindset coach Mark Visser. All of these components worked well for the audience, for the amount of time that we had, and for the environment,” Simone said.
“Our biggest achievement, and one of the strategic pillars that we had for this event, was forming long-lasting relationships and connections with guests, and this will ultimately have a positive impact on the industry, however much that may be."
