What inspired you to pursue a career in the travel industry?
Honestly, I kind of just miraculously landed in the travel industry, and it turned out to be the best thing that could’ve happened. It’s by far the most fun, dynamic, and exciting industry I’ve been part of. Corporate travel, in particular, is such an interesting space—it’s fast-paced, always evolving, and filled with opportunities to make a real impact. I love how it connects people, businesses, and cultures while constantly pushing the boundaries of technology and innovation. No two days are the same, and that’s what keeps it so exciting for me!
Do you have any advice for women supporting women at work?
Empower and uplift other women. There is enough success to go around, and someone else’s achievements don’t diminish your own. The best way for women to grow and thrive is by supporting one another rather than competing.
Speak up when you witness injustice, advocate for equal opportunities, and always make space at the table for other women. Too often, there are plenty of seats for men but not enough for women—let’s change that by creating opportunities for each other, mentoring, and celebrating every win, big or small.
3. Who is a woman that has inspired your journey, and what’s the most important lesson you’ve learned from her?
As cliché as it may sound, my biggest inspiration is my mother. She raised me and my sister in post-communist Romania with incredible resilience, strength, and determination. She taught me never to give up and showed me that my voice matters. Without her, I wouldn’t have had the opportunity to receive an education outside Romania or pursue the career I have today.
My mother is a science teacher whose patience and unconditional love never cease to amaze me. She instilled in me the value of education, perseverance, and integrity. Her journey has taught me that no obstacle is too big when you have drive and belief in yourself.
What has been your most rewarding career moment at FCM?
As part of the Product Marketing team, I’m the Global Product Marketing Manager for Supply, which means I get to break down complex topics—like NDC (New Distribution Capability)—into digestible, meaningful insights for both our internal teams and, most importantly, our customers.
One of my most rewarding moments has been demystifying the world of airline supply and ensuring our customers always have access to the best and most relevant content. Beyond that, I’ve had the privilege of learning firsthand how supply works, collaborating on global strategic initiatives, and contributing to projects that create a real, positive impact on our partners and customers. Being part of a team that simplifies complexity and drives innovation has been incredibly fulfilling.
Who is a woman (past or present) you’d invite to dinner, and why?
I’d invite my grandmother. Having left Romania at an early age, I wish we had more time together. I’m a very different person now than I was back then, and I would love the chance to reconnect, share stories, and learn more about her life, her wisdom, and our family history. I would cherish the opportunity to laugh, build memories, and experience the warmth of her presence again.
