Hannah Bucknor
Business Manager
Meet Hannah, member of the Corporate Executive Team since September 2024. She plays a pivotal role in supporting FCM’s global leadership as Business Manager to CEO Chris Galanty.
When Hannah isn't championing diversity, equity, and inclusion, you’ll find her with a paintbrush in hand, creating masterpieces, or soaking up the sun and perfecting her tan.

What inspired you to pursue a career in the travel industry?
After qualifying as a teacher during the challenging period of COVID-19 and navigating a difficult start to my teaching career, I found myself looking for a new challenge. With a long-standing passion for travel and an eagerness for something new, transitioning to a role in this industry felt like a natural and compelling next step for me.

Do you have any advice for women supporting women at work?
Collaborate! Take the initiative to share knowledge and promote a supportive environment in the workplace. Regularly acknowledge and celebrate the achievements of your female colleagues, but also provide constructive feedback where relevant to help further their professional growth. We should be building networks, sharing ideas and amplifying female colleagues ideas.
Who is a woman that has inspired your journey, and what’s the most important lesson you’ve learned from her?
Someone who has inspired my journey significantly is my aunt. One of the most important lessons she has taught me is the value of continuous learning. Keeping up with industry trends and constantly seeking opportunities to enhance my skills and knowledge are essential for remaining competitive and fostering both professional and personal growth. Her consistent encouragement to actively take responsibility for my future and the steps I can take to achieve my goals has been a profound source of inspiration in my career.

What’s been your most rewarding career moment at FCM?
As someone who is still relatively new to the business, I am continually learning and finding my place within the organisation. It has been immensely rewarding having an opportunity to network with experienced leaders from across the global business, which has significantly deepened my understanding of FCM. I am excited to continue my development and to shape my future within the company.

Who’s a woman (past or present) you’d invite to dinner, and why?
Creola Katherine Johnson – Katherine didn’t let her major obstacles, being African-American and a woman, define her career path or deter her from success. I’d love to sit down and hear about the incredible work she did in orbital mechanics and her role in pioneering the way for African-American women ‘computers’ in NASA.
