FCM named finalist for Best Sales Team and Best Account Management Team at 2019 People Awards
FCM Travel Solutions has scooped two places on the coveted shortlist for the 2019 Business Travel People Awards in the categories Sales/Business Development Team of the Year and Account Management Team of the Year.
Organised by The Business Travel Magazine, The People Awards recognise individuals and teams within travel management companies and travel suppliers whose professionalism and business excellence make them stand out from their industry peers. The winners will be individuals and teams who are judged to be outstanding performers in their field.
The Sales/Business Development Award recognises the team that has driven growth through outstanding sales results by the development and use of a creative and successful business strategy. FCM’s submission focussed on how the team’s innovative and collaborative approach in 2018 led to them winning a record-breaking 32 new national clients and also driving major multinational business wins out of the UK market. The team also played an instrumental part in altering the perception of FCM in the marketplace, raising awareness of the company’s stature and resources as a truly global TMC and robust capabilities in managing major global clients, whilst retaining FCM’s bespoke highly personal servicing model.
The Account Management Award recognises the team that takes a proactive and consultative approach to providing unrivalled customer service, care and value to their clients. Thanks to the dedication, teamwork, and consultative approach of FCM’s Account Management Team in maximising efficiencies and cost savings within their clients’ travel programmes, FCM retained 98% of its clients in 2018. In particular, the team played a critical role in securing contract extensions or reappointments after a rigorous retender process from 17 major clients.
