FCM Appoints Oz Desai as Managing Director for Ireland Business
3 August, 2022 – Global travel management company FCM is pleased to announce the appointment of Oz Desai as Managing Director – Ireland.
Desai will be responsible for the continued evolution of the company’s regional business across Ireland in support of the company’s business objectives, while providing valued support to customers through the delivery of FCM’s unique product and compelling service proposition.
His arrival comes at a pivotal time for FCM with a slew of proprietary client solutions debuting across the UK & Ireland. Alongside the global rollout of FCM’s highly anticipated omnichannel technology, the company recently unveiled FCM Booking, an innovative alternative to traditional OBTs.
The South African-born executive is an 12-year veteran of the Flight Centre Travel Group where he has held a series of management positions in finance and operations. Most recently, as Managing Director – South Africa for sister brand Corporate Traveller, he successfully steered the TMC in its post-pandemic recovery securing rapid bounce back to profit and continuing business success.
Now based in Dublin, Desai began his new position in early August, and represents the first significant structural change made by UK & Ireland Managing Director Andy Hegley since he took up the regional leadership role in June.
Hegley said Desai is a pivotal appointment to his UK & Ireland executive team and indicates a renewed focus on FCM’s Irish operations.
