Coronavirus Update
FCM is monitoring the current novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak and the impact on business travellers and will continue to keep clients informed during this active situation. Please always check with your own company or procurement travel manager for your employer’s travel policy and crisis plan.
Our teams are proactively checking upcoming trips and will update travellers affected. Customers concerned about upcoming trips or looking to cancel or rebook any travel should contact their dedicated travel team or account manager. Travellers are advised to download FCM's SAM app to stay updated on all travel disruptions, and customers can use FCM Secure - our online global security tracking and reporting tool - to keep track of health advisories issued by WorldAware and to locate travellers.
Closure of Canada – U.S. Border
The Canada – US Border closed Friday, March 20th at midnight for non-essential travel until further notice. Please refer to our FAQ for further details. We will be updating this FAQ as more details are released.
Canadian Border
On Thursday afternoon (Mar 16), Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced that on Wednesday the 18th of March, Canada will be banning entry to anyone who is not a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident, with the exception of air crews, diplomats and immediate family members. Additionally, Canada will be limiting which airports will accept international flights moving forward. These airports will be Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ), Montreal International Airport (YUL), Calgary International Airport (YYC) and Vancouver International Airport (YVR). Furthermore, all passengers will be screened before boarding planes into Canada, a process that will be implemented by the airlines, supported by Public Health Canada.
