New Zealand
With its diverse nature, New Zealand is highly recommended for nature lovers. From white beaches and palm trees to glaciers, high mountains and a rocky coastline, you can find everything there!
The northern island is all about volcanic activity. The so-called "Thermal route" takes you along the most beautiful parks with geysers, hot springs and colored lakes. In this area you can also relax in the many hot pools & spa.
A must-do for the Hobbit / Lord of the Rings fans among us is a stopover in Hobbiton. A real immersion in the world of the hobbits ensures that you find yourself in a fairytale world where the nature of New Zealand is even more in the spotlight.
If you like hiking, the Tongariro Crossing is highly recommended! On this day trip you walk through different landscapes on a volcano where the red crater and emerald lakes are the highlights of the day. It's a tiring day, with a serious climb, but well worth it.
On the southern island, the Abel Tasman National Park is on your "must-see" list, including hiking and kayaking. The stark coastline takes you to beautiful places like Franz Josef Glacier, Pancake Rocks and Blue Pools, Wanaka and Queenstown.
The southern scenic route then takes you from Queenstown via Invercargill all the way to Dunedin. A beautiful ride where you can admire different lighthouses and sea lions as well as visit the most southern point of New Zealand.
To enjoy the beautiful nature that New Zealand has to offer one last time, Lake Tekapo should not be missed. This clear blue lake surrounded by beautiful mountains is one of the most beautiful things during the trip through New Zealand. What makes this place extra special is the fact that there is so little light pollution, so that beautiful starry skies can be admired. An observatory has therefore been placed on Mt John which you can visit under supervision after sunset.
